Residents douse flames at apartment complex

Quick-thinking residents averted what could have been a life-threatening fire early Sunday morning at Village Square apartments, 400 Northport Drive, Cabot fire Chief Phil Robinson said Monday. The fire had begun burning the vinyl siding at the ground floor, melting the siding in most of the breezeway and up to the third floor of the stairwell.
